      <image:caption>Dr. Lehman is a licensed clinical psychologist.  He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with highest honors in the major and college honors for overall academic excellence.  He then worked for a year conducting psychological research and clinical work at the University of Michigan. He went on to do his graduate training at Yale University where he earned the M.S., M.Phil., and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology.  While at Yale Dr. Lehman conducted research and clinical training in the areas of eating disorders and the psychotherapy process.  While there Dr. Lehman collaborated and trained with Sidney Blatt, PhD, Jesse Geller, PhD, Judith Rodin, PhD,  and Peter Salovey. PhD.  He also served as the Assistant Director and Clinical Intake Supervisor of the Yale Psychological Services Clinic, and  Assistant Clinical Director, Yale Eating Disorders Clinic, among other positions.  While at Yale he also had the pleasure of serving as a teaching assistant for the course, Psychology and Law which, at the time, had the largest ever enrollment.  Dr. Lehman moved to Seattle, WA in 1990 where he completed his Predoctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at the University of Washington, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  He then completed an advanced Post Doctoral Fellowship in Anxiety and Depressive Disorders at the University of Washington, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.   Since 1992 Dr. Lehman has been in full time clinical practice providing a safe and welcoming space for outpatient psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and couples. Since 1994 he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Washington, Department of Psychology providing training and psychotherapy supervision to PhD level graduate students.  Dr. Lehman has published numerous articles in peered reviewed journals and presented at regional and national meetings on topics such as: eating disorders, the psychotherapy process, therapist preferences for certain patient types, cognitive behavior therapy, and personality and depression subtypes.
